Ellsworth S. Cox, died at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Croix Falls, on November 7, 1992. He was 93. Ellsworth was born September 5, 1899, to Nathaniel and Emma (Wilson) Cox, in Hardin County Iowa. His early childhood was spent in Eastern Colorado pioneering in a sod house on the plains. On Oct. 16, 1927 he married Anna DeBoer. They had five children, he lived in Iowa until 1941, when he moved to the Centuria area. He started farming and worked as a fieldsman for Stokely-VanCamp, until his retirement. In January of 1973, he married Margaret Kuske. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna in 1968. Two sons Leroy and Harold; three sisters and three brothers.

Left to mourn are his wife Margaret; three daughters; Mrs. (Maurice (Vera) Carlson, Centuria, Mrs. David (Gloria) Burns, Luck, and Mrs. Michael (Shirley) Orlins, Red Bank, Tennessee, daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sanford (Marion) Knapp, and brother Elmer Cox, Balsam Lake, step-daughters, Yvonne Tandberg, Forest Lake Minnesota, and Mrs. Bill (June) Metz, stepsons Roger Kuske and wife June, and Samuel Kuske both of Centuria, seventeen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, many friends and other relatives.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Centuria, with Rev. Gloria Cavil and Rev. Alan Fung officiating. Interment was at St. John's Cemetery. The arrangements were made by the Park Rowe Funeral Home.
