Hart family to be researched, previous memorial holder pro-ported she lived Burlington and Bristol, CT (8 mi from where her future husband grew up in Farmington, CT) and that she was the D/o Samual Adams, yet her headstone lists "Elizabeth Hart", and in son, Jerome's marriage cert., lists her maiden name is "Elizabeth H" and not Adams nor "A". I need her death cert, a family bio, father's Will... research continues...
Adams research: There is a Samuel and Samuel Jr Adams in 1790 Bristol, CT. none buried there, There are many S. A. buried in Windham Co, CT., all died by 1852 so could be her father IF she is an Adams. Rev. William Adams and the Rev. Eliphalet Adams by Miss F.M. Caulkins: Wm had 2 sons, Wm & Eliphalet, little is known of Wm, brother made a jounal entry 1699 his brother "helpless infirmity". Eliphalet had no male grandchildren and none of the daughters married Hart men.
Hart family:
I believe her uncle is Bliss (Simeon) Hart who moved to Farmington to Brookfield, OH abt 1813:
History of Trumbull and Mahoning counties, by Williams (H.Z.) & Bro., Cleveland, Ohio, Publication date 1882, p. 355-57 naming many family members. children: Oliver, Sylvia, Experience, Levi, Amanda, Oliver Ellsworth, Rosalinda, Melissendia, Robert - this would be a reason the Curtiss' starting moving to Trumbull Co. although many CT people moved here after surveyors from same name towns created townships (opening land ownership) in this county. There is a whole line of Samuel Hart's of Berlin, Hartford Co., CT back to colonial MA to England.
