Death of Mrs. Odell. Mrs. Minerva Odell died August 30th at the home of her daughter Mrs. Sadie French in Portland, or., after a long and painful illness, at the age of 78 years and two months. Deceased was the mother of Mrs. John Crawford, of Largo, also Mrs. Jennie Crawford, of San Francisco, the only children in California. She was a pioneer, having crossed the plains in 1853 from Iowa. She is well known in Sonoma and Mendocino counties. (p. 5 col. 3)
