William "Bill" Manry, 90, of Camilla died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998, at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.
Funeral services were held at 2pm Monday, Jan. 26, at the First Baptist Church of Camilla with the Revs Harris Malcom and Dion Brown officiating. Burial was in Oakview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Fred Bullard, Gene Mills, Bill Bullard, David Murphy, Webb Murphy, Clifford Chason and Donnie Vaughn.
Born Oct. 21, 1907, in Edison, Manry was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Manry and Blossom Curry Manry. He was retired from the City of Camilla as Superintendent of the Street Department and as a former Fire Cheif. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #128. He was a member of the Camilla First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vernice Manry of Camilla; two sons, Max Manry of Vidalia and Charles Manry of Benton City, Wash.; one sister, Kate McPherson of Margate, Fl.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
