Born in Meadow, March 23, 1885, he was a son of Hyrum and Martha Alice Stott Adams. He had been a Salt Lake resident for four years.
A member of the Meadow town board for two terms, he retired from his postmaster duties three years ago. Mr. Adams also operated a small store, adjacent to the post office in Meadow.
Mr. Adams was a High Priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In 1905, in the Manti LDS Temple, he married Amy Elizabeth Bushnell.
He is survived by his widow, Salt Lake City, four sons and four daughters, LaVerre V. and Leland B. Adams, Mrs. Idona Toone, Mrs. Vanetta Robison and Mrs Luella Edwards, Salt Lake City, Loyd H. Adams and Mrs. Coleen Paxton, Kanosh, Millard County; Lt. Mark J Adams, US Army Air Corps; 28 grandchildren; a brother and two sisters, Sylvester S Adams and Mrs. Mary H Beckstrand, Meadow, and Mrs. Bessie Alice Gull, Sandy.
