Roy D. Boyd, 79, rural Windsor, died Wednesday evening, March 7, 2007, at his home. He was born on May 30, 1927, in Brownington, the son of Johnny Lee Boyd and Minnie Emma Elizabeth (Dody) Boyd. On March 16, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas, he married Lucille Wilson, who survives of the home. He was a farmer all of his life, raising cattle and row crop farming. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor; the Henry County Fox Hunters Association, Clinton; the Windsor IOOF Ledge, #187; a past board member of the Farmers Home Administration, Clinton; the Farmers Co-op Board, Windsor; the Windsor Township Board serving as treasurer for many years; the former Windsor Hospital Board of Directors and the National Farmers Organization.

He was preceded in death by a son Roy Bradley Boyd, who was killed in Vietnam on March 29, 1969; two brothers, Charles F. Boyd and John Lee Boyd.
