Bardo Matkin Bodily was born May 25, 1917 in Fairview,Idaho, the son of Christopher R. and Blanche Matkin Bodily. He married Wanda Wheeler July 23,1945 in the Logan LDS Temple. He attended grade school in Fairview and graduated from North Cache High School. He was a member of the American Legion and served several years on the Lewiston 4th of July celebration committee. He was a member of the North Cache Riding Club. He was an active member of the Lewiston 2nd Ward of the LDS church. He served in the MIA, Sunday School, Scouts, on the finance committee and as a Home Teacher. He served his country for over four years during World War Two, serving in England, North Africa and Italy. He was a self taught carpenter building many carports, home additions, farm buildings and general remodeling in the Lewiston area. He and his wife worked many years to build a successful farm in southwest Lewiston. They also square danced for many years traveling to dances all over northern Utah. Bardo passed away Jan. 3, 1986 after suffering from Multiple Myeloma for several years.
