Vertis Matkin Bodily, age 78, son of Christopher and Blanche Bodily, past peacfully to the other side on Thursday morning, July 28, 2005. Vertis was born in the family home on the farm in Lewiston, Utah on Febuary 9, 1927. He lived his entire life in the family home. Vertis sereved an LDS Misson in the Cental States. He served in the occupational forces in Japan at the end of WWII. Vertis married Norma Mary Anderson on July 21, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple.He is survived by his wife; and children Janice(Loyd) Field of Lewiston, UT; Marlyn Miller of Spanish Fork, UT; Stan (Alison) Bodily Logan, UT; Fizz (Carla) Bodily Lewiston, UT; Scott Bodily of Las Vegas NV; a sister Ardel (Cleo) Cherry of Yuma AZ; two sister-in-law Alta(Suel) Bodily of Idaho Falls, ID and Wanda(Bardo) Bodily of Lewiston, UT, thirteen grandchildren and two great granddaughters. He was prceded in death by a sister Arlie, three brothers, Bardo, Arlo, Suel and a son, Boyd Bodily. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at 12:00 pm at the Lewiston 1st & 2nd Ward chapel, 10 South 1600 West, Lewiston. There will be a viewing held Monday from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan and at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fairview, ID Cemetery.
