Mrs. Emma Arnold, 81, of 618 St. Paul Street, Kiel, widow of Edwin, died Wednesday, February 3, at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient two days.
The former Emma Wriedt was born on August 18, 1889, in the Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wriedt. She attended Woodland Park School, and on March 21, 1911, was married to Mr. Arnold at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in the Town of Schleswig. The couple lived in Schleswig until 1955 when they moved to Kiel. Mr. Arnold died in 1955.
She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel, and its Women's Guild and Frauen Verein.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Selma Manz of Kiel and Mrs. Frank Geier of Germantown; a son, Eugene, Route 1, Elkhart Lake; five sisters, Mrs. Edwin Ninmer, Mrs. Ben Strassmann, Mrs. George Ninmer and Mrs. Viola Ninmer, all of rural Kiel, and Mrs. Ralph Mangum of North Carolina; a brother, August, St. Nazianz; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a sister, and a brother.
