Alice Dora Shuman was born in Mannington West Virginia Nov 1914. Alice was one of six children born to Audie Clifford and Ola Shuman, two of who died at birth. A sister Madge Mildred Shuman and a brother Donald Shuman.


Alice and her husband Larry moved from Mannington West Virginia to Lawrenceville, NJ where they lived for 30 years before moving to Lithonia, Ga where they lived at Norris Lake.

Alice was employed by the Lawrence Township Board of Education for 20 years as the supervisor of cafeterias, she was also a tupperware sales rep for eight years.

Alice was also a member of the of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church and was known as an avid quilter, crotcheiter, baker and bowler.

Daughter of the late Audie Clifford and Ola Shuman, wife of the late Lawrence Grubb, she is survived by two sons. James Grubb and his wife Carolyn of Lawrenceville, with whom she resided and Jerry Grubb and his late wife Barbara of NC.Alice is also survived by a sister Mary June Christy of Fairmont West Va, four grand children, James Grubb Jr, Michele (Grubb) Nelson ,Kea (Grubb)Lutrell and Christina Grubb. Alice is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
