Larry was my father's father and a quiet but loving man. I spent many summers with my grandparents and Pop would take us to watch the airplanes land and on our way back he would stop at Dairy Queen for a special treat. Pop was a wonderful craftsman although he would say he wasn't.

Pop worked in the pottery and after dinner every night he would shower and put on Old Spice cologne, I still love that smell to this day. He also had a Zippo lighter and I loved the smell of the butane when he would re-fill it. When I was around 6 or 7 and lost my front teeth Pop would make fun of the way I ate corn on the cob on the side of my mouth. I would end up with butter and salt all over one side of my face and Pop would just laugh. Although he worked during the day while we were there, Pop would always make sure we had either "white stuff" (popcorn) or ice cream after dinner.

Family always had a special place in his heart and he would do anything for anyone in the family if they needed it. No matter what Pop always made each of his four grandkids feel special and that you were the only one that mattered. All of his grandkids were affectionatly known as "scallywags"

I miss you Pop....
