Mrs. Marie Kotnik, 74, formerly of Sheboygan, died Tues. at St. Theresa Nursing Home in New Hope MN.
The former Marie Gartman was born in the Town of Wilson Mar. 28, 1896, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary [(Braun)] Gartman. She was married to Frank P. Kotnik on Jan. 9, 1923, at Holy Name Catholic Church.
Her husband, a former Sheboygan fireman, died in Nov. 1964.
Mrs. Kotnik was a member of the Holy Name Mission Society, St. Anne's Christian Mothers Society, the Apostolate of Suffering and the Catholic Women's Charity Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Carolyn) Gottsacker, Edina MN; six grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Harry [Elynor] Grasse, Wauwatosa.
The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thurs. at Holy Name Catholic Church, with Rev. Laurence Waleske, pastor, as celebrant. The Mass will be preceded by family rites at 10:30 a.m. at Gerend Habermann Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
A parish and combined society vigil will be held there at 7 this evening. It will also be attended by members of the St. Luke the Evangelist unit of the Good Samaritan Guild.
