Frank Gartman, 65, a native of the town of Wilson, died Wed. at his home in Waukesha.
Until taken ill five years ago, Mr. Gartman had been an electrical engineer for Waukesha industrial firms.
A son of the late Charles and Mary [(Braun)] Gartman, he was born Nov. 30, 1891. His father formerly operated a cheese factory at Six Corners. He attended St. George's Catholic School near his home and later St. Peter Claver in Sheboygan.
Following graduation from Milwaukee School of Engineering he went to work in Waukesha, being employed at Werra Foundry and Waukesha Iron Works. He served with the Army Engineers during WW I.
About 30 years ago he married the former Helen Seller of Waukesha. The couple had lived in Waukesha ever since.
Surviving are his wife; and five sisters, Sister Mary Fidelia [Clara], Arcadia, LaCrosse County, Mrs. Frank [Marie] Kotnic and Mrs. Clemens [Laura] Acker, Sheboygan, Mrs. Patrick [Rose] Sheehy, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Harry [Elynor] Grasse, Wauwatosa. He was also preceded in death by a brother [Charles] and sister [Helen].
The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waukesha, at 8 a.m. Sat., following brief rites at Tuschen-Rudolph Funeral Home there. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Fri.
