Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Garrard; two sons, Stephen and Jeffery; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Rouse; and four brothers, Don Smith, Gene Smith, Leo Smith and Bob Smith.
She helped build bombers at the Willow Run assembly plant near Detroit during World War II. She worked in the jewelry departments of several department stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, retiring in the early 1980s.
Cremation was accorded.
