Lelia Camille Bourgeois Hood, a resident of Baton Rouge, died at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, at The Guest House. She was 82 and a native of Cat Island.

Arrangements entrusted to Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs. Visiting at Gray's Creek Baptist Church, until religious services, conducted by the Rev. Carl Sullivan. Interment in Felders Cemetery.

Survived by six daughters and three sons-in-law, Lois and Morris "Dude" Causey, Mildred and Henry Abadie, Clara and Ed Page, Audrey Gore, Lelia Richardson and Ida Hood; a son, Elmo Hood Jr.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Elmo Hood Sr.; parents, Leo and Josephine Bourgeois; three brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church.
