JIM YOUNG SERVICES HELD
Funeral services were held from Farwell Church of Christ Saturday afternoon for James Henry (Jim) Young, 75, of Texico. He passed away at Clovis Memorial Hospital on Thursday following an illness of one week.
Mr. Young, who had lived in the Texico-Farwell area for 40 years was a retired farmer, and at time of his death was owner and operator of Jim's Phillips Station in Texico. He was a member of the local Church of Christ. Minister Ebb Randol officiated at last rites, assisted by Dewey Fogerson. Burial was in the Texico Cemetery under direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Nephews served as pallbearers.
Survivors include his widow, Effie; one son, Calvin Young; one granddaughter, and four great-grandchildren. Also three sisters, Mrs. J. A. Jones, Texico, Mrs. Lee Gallaway, El Cajon, Calif., and Mrs. Verns Goldsmith, Farwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Elton Young.
