ESTHER ATTEBERY
---Esther Elizabeth Baker, daughter of Joshua W. and Sara L. Baker, was born May 21, 1849 at Edina, Missouri, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Hawkins of La Plata, Missouri, March 17, 1930, aged eighty years, ten months and twenty-six days.
---She was united in marriage on May 8, 1873 to John T. Attebery who preceded her in death on September 26, 1913. To this union eight children were born; Lawrence W. of Atlanta, Missouri, John W. of Illinois Bend neighborhood, Carl B. and Frank E. of Kirksville, Missouri, Ethel M. Hawkins and Anna R. Attebery of La Plata, J.D. Attebery and Ina Mock of Elmer, Missouri.
---She united with the Christian Church in 1865 and remained faithful until death. Her high regard for Christianity and her great love of music was readily recognized and she was often spoke of as being an inspiration to the speaker.
---She was a member of the Order of the Easters Star Chapter 133, Atlanta, Missouri and always got so much pleasure from attending its meetings.
---Besides the family she leaves fourteen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death.
