She was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and the widow of Daniel E. Cooper. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church and First Senior Citizens of Chesapeake.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen V. Blanchard of Chesapeake and Dollie Mae Davenport of Norfolk; three sons, Ernest F. Cooper, Sr. of Chesapeake, Jack J. Cooper of Virginia Beach and Daniel E. Cooper, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Anna Johnson of Hampton, Nora Root of Norfolk and Daisy Singleton of Chesapeake; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at 1214 Hull St. and at 2734 Rodgers St., Chesapeake.
