James N., Tenth child of Eleven, Sixth born son of six of Presley D. and Mary S. (Baker) Richardson.

Brother of John, Thomas, Mary (Raine), Samuel, Judith (Taylor), Eugenia, Nannie (Layne), Presley D. Jr., Theodore and Penny Richardson.

Husband of Mary D. (Paulett), whom he married on December 21, 1870, of this union Ten children were born: Lilly (Womack), Linwood, George, Edna (Gallagher), Myrtle (Creasey), Hermon, Flossie (Hubbard), Tera, James Everett and Walter Marvin Richardson.

Was a member of the Piney Ridge United Methodist Church.

He lived all of his life in Appomattox County, Virginia.

Listed on the United States Federal Censuses of 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1920 and 1930: All living in Appomattox and Clover Hill, Appomattox County, Virginia. At ages, 11, 21, 30, 50, 71 and 82.
