Pamplin--James Everett Richardson, 87, Route 1, Pamplin, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 28 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Hattie Baldwin Richardson.

Born in Appomattox County, he was a son of the late James Richardson. He was a life-long member and a trustee of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by ten children, Henry N. Richardson,  B. G. Richardson and Gene Richardson, all of Pamplin, Mrs. Rachel R. Lee, Appomattox, Thomas W. Richardson, Willie R. Richardson and Mrs. Brenda R. Brisentine, all of Pamplin, Mrs. Shirley R. Cheatham, Spout Springs and Mrs. Margaret R. Davis and David Lee Richardson, both of Pamplin and 22 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at 3 p.m. at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lee Seibert. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
