Flossie Mary (Richardson) Hubbard, Seventh Child of Eleven, Fourth Daughter of James N. & Mary D. (Paulett) Hubbard.

Sister of Lilly (Womack), Linwood, George, Edna (Gallaher), Myrtle (Creasey), Harmon, Tera, James Everett, Walter Marvin Richardson.

Wife of Samuel Raleigh Hubbard, whom she married on March 12, 1914.

Mother of Twelve Children; Maurice, Newton, Eunice (Meadows), Ora (Dowdy), Robert, Samuel, Flossie (Woolridge), Mary, Hallie (Swinson), Lois (Young), Winston, and William Hubbard.
Sadly Robert and Mary passed away as children.

She lived on a farm for many years, located just off of Route 460 - Prince Edward Highway, on Price Lane, in Elam, Virginia.

Worked for many years in the Garment Factory sewing dresses, in Pamplin City and then in Farmville, Virginia; they were then shipped to the Fine Stores in New York City.

Flossie never drove, when I was a child I asked her about it and she told me that when cars first came out they were very hard to drive and steer and she had trouble trying to hold on to the steering wheel and trying to turn it.

Was a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church.
