Ora Hallie Dowdy, was the Fourth Child, Second Daughter of Samuel Raleigh & Flossie Mary (Richardson) Hubbard.
Was Ex-Wife of Murray Dowdy.
Mother of Robert "Bobby" Dowdy.
She was an employee with "Woolco" Department Stores in the late 1960's as a clerk.
She was a talent Piano Player.

Mrs. Ora H. Dowdy of Richmond died Saturday, June 15, 1985 in a local hospital. She was Worthy Matron of Mizpah Chapter No. 32, O.E.S., College Regent in Chapter No. 1282 of Tuckahoe Moose Lodge, a member of Wister Heights United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. Survived by one son, Robert(Bob) Dowdy and his wife, Shelby; four brothers, J. Newton, Samuel R., and Walter W. Hubbard, all of Richmond, and William M. Hubbard of New Mexico, four sisters, Eunice H. Meadows, Flossie H. Woolridge, Hallie H. Swinson and Lois H. Young, all of Richmond, and beloved friend Mildred Orange. Remains rest at the Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 17. Interment in Beaverdam Advent Christian Church cemetery in Beaverdam at 3 p.m. An Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Cause of Death: Lung Cancer,
she was a non-smoker.
