DOROTHY CHRISTIANA BROWN Jordan 1929-2007
Dorothy Christiana Brown was born on the 14th of November 1929 at home, the daughter of Roy Theodore Brown, SR 1904-1974 and his wife, Mary "Hazel" COFFMAN Brown 1907-1988. Dorothy who was also called Dot or Dottie, was the third borne and one of six children. The family resided at 4344 North Evanston Avenue (formerly Baltimore) in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.

Miss Dorothy Christiana BROWN married Mr Robert "Bob" Maurice Jordan 1923-1993 on the 28th of August 1948 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. They were the Parents of:

Dot and Bob's second son, Danny Lee Jordan died right after his birth. I was only nine years old at the time but remember the family talking about it. Danny was a very large baby - His Mommy, Dot, took clothes to the hospital to bring him home in - size three months but they had to go buy size twelve months clothes for his burial. I remember them saying that Danny was a "blue baby" which was a congenital heart defect caused by a pulmonary artery that is too narrow. He was buried in the Garden of Faith area of Washington North Cemetery on the far north side of Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Dot and Bob went on to have three more sons making a total of five children, four living.
Robert "Bobby" Jordan, Jr joined the Air Force and was stationed in California. He married a girl and they had "natural" quadruplets! I do not know her name or any information on his children. In 1990 tragedy strikes when Dot and Bob receive a phone call that their son had committed suicide. His reasons are unknown. He is buried at the San Francisco National Cemetery, Section DS, Site 1145-AAA located in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California, USA.
