OBITUARY

MRS. BEN HEPENSTALL

Delia White, third daughter of James and Mary White, was born on April 16, 1863, and passed away at her home in Russell, on Sept. 25, 1930, at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 9 days.

She was married to Benjamin Hepenstall on Feb. 18, 1885. To this union was born one daughter, Lucy Ethel.

This vicinity has been her home except for a little over a year, which was spent in Colorado, for her health. For years she had been a member of the Christian church and enjoyed attending the services as long as she was able.

For a number of years she had been a victim of a malignant disease, and in all her suffering she was patient, cheerful, thinking always of the welfare and comfort of others first. Her whole life has seemingly been spent in loving service for somebody else.

A niece and nephew, Mrs. Nora Linebaugh Palmer, and Everett Linebaugh shared her home for a number of years, and after they were gone she reared four other Linebaugh girls, who mourn for her as a mother. They were: Mrs. Maggie Hetrick of Pleasantville, Mrs. Ada Bailey of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Eva Hall and Mrs. Edith Lake, both deceased.

Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Lucy Stacy, she leaves to mourn their loss, three grandchildren, Mrs. Ursal Collins, Carl and Verle Morford, and two great grandchildren, little Jackie Ray Collins and Barbara Lou Morford, in whose lives their grandmother took great interest and was happiest when they were near and she could be doing something for them.

She also leaves three sisters: Mrs. Rilla Brown of Otis, Colo., Mrs. Hannah Quinn, of St. Joseph, Mo., and Mrs. America Gillam of Russell. Also one brother, John White of Gravette, Arkansas. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends have lost a true and loyal friend.

Funeral services were held from the Russell Baptist church, Sunday afternoon, Sept. 28th, conducted by Rev. A. E. Beals. The remains were laid to rest in the Russell cemetery.
