ARTHUR DELANCY MOORE

Arthur Delancy Moore was born Mar 3, 1903 in Nelson, a son of the late Archie and Mary Jane Moore. He grew to manhood in town Alma and later moved with his parents to Weyerhauser, this state, helping his father on the farm until the latter's death and then continuing taking care of his mother and operating the farm. Mrs. Moore passed away two years ago, leaving Arthur alone. On May 10 last year he was seriously injured in an accident, his skull being fractured. After receiving treatment at St. Mary's hospital in Ladysmith for 5 months, he was taken to Eau Claire to recuperate at the home of a sister, Mrs. Andy Dahl. There he suffered a relapse on December 1 and passed away at Luther hospital on Wednesday, Jan 5, at 7 p.m. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Frank Barto, Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Herman Alitz, Eau Claire, Mrs. P. A. Brown of Poplar, and Mrs. Andy Dahl, Eau Claire. A sister, Mrs. L. C. Mize, preceded him in death three years ago. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Union church at 1 p.m., Rev. Buckley of Durand officiating. Pallbearers were Walter, Albert, and Melvin Hess, Ray Priefert, Gerhard Reinhardt of Nelson and Alva Patton, Eau Claire.
