A native of Chester County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Pendergrass Wilkes. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Burris O. Cornwell; three daughters, Mrs. Wylie Hafner of McConnels, Mrs. Vince Abell of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Guy Linford of near Chester; four grandchildren; two brothers, L. J. and John C. Wilkes of near Chester.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday from the Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. H. T. Johnson and the Rev. John Love. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
