Chester--Mr. Hafner L. Cornwell, 74, of Route 3, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1991, at his home.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Revs. Bob Craven and Joe Clayton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Born in Chester, Mr. Cornwell was a farmer and trustee of the Chester County Hospital board. He was a member and former deacon at Calvary Baptist Church, a World War II Army veteran, member of the Disabled American Veterans and a former member of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.
He was the widower of Nancy V. Cornwell.
Surviving are his second wife, Emma Boulware Cornwell; two sons, Glenn M. Cornwell of Belmont, NC, and Jim Cornwell of Coljumbia; two brothers, Dr. James I Cornwell of Asheville, NC and Dr. Julian Cornwell of Columbia; his sister, Katy Hancock of Charlotte; and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.
