He was born Oct. 8, 1899, in Danevang to the late Hans Peter and Maren Hansen Jensen. he was a farmer and a rancher.
He is survived by his wife, Ester Peterson Jensen, son Alvin Jensen of Houston; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Wheeler Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in El Campo with Rev. John Willmann officiating.
Burial will be held in the Danevang Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Centennial Fund of the First Lutheran Church or Danevang Lutheran Church.
