Greer, SC - Celia Gosnell Blackwell died suddenly at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 1972 at Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital. Native of Polk County, NC and daughter of Monroe and Myra Horne Gosnell. Wife of Robert F. "Bob" Blackwell and member of Apalache Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, 1972 at Apalache Baptist Church with interment in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors included: eight daughters, five sons, a brother, three sisters 34 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. He was 84 years of age at her demise. (Obituary was rewritten to conform to Findagrave Rules by Record Hunter.)
