Robert H. Reese, Sr., age 79, of 1708 Plymouth Street, New Holstein, died Tuesday November 10, 1998 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in Plymouth. Funeral services will be held Thursday at St. John United church of Christ in New Holstein. Rev. James E. Werner will officiate. Burial will be in the New Holstein City Cemetery.

He was born August 26, 1919, in Potter, son of the late William and Elizabeth Keopp Reese. On May 22, 1942, he married Marion A. Watry in Chilton. He attended schools in Potter and New Holstein. Bob served in the Army during World War II from March 1941 – February 1942. He was employed for almost 48 years at the former Leverenz Shoe Co. in New Holstein. He retired in 1985. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein.

Survivors include four children, Robert E. (Sharon) Reese, Kiel, Barbara J. (David) Vallesky, New Holstein, Ronald R. (Dianne) Reese, New Holstein, Roy D. (Kathy) Reese, Moriarty, NM; 12 grandchildren; four great grandsons; six great granddaughters; two brothers, Martin (Flora) Reese, Kiel, Ervin (Lucille) Reese, Kiel; two sisters, Mary Toebe, Green Bay, Betty (Thomas) Sabatino, Staten Island, NY; a friend, Maxine Witt; nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marion on June 4, 1997; three brothers.
