"Dailey" Hampton Lax was the oldest of nine children of "Buck" William Noah Hampton and "Belle" Dora Belle Haneline Hampton of Greene County, Arkansas. It is believed that her given name was Aurora S. Hampton as listed on the 1900 census. However, while she was known as "Dailey", she gave her name as "St. Anna" on the 1920 census.

"Dailey" married Hubert Clarence Lax in March 6, 1907 in Greene County, Arkansas.

Records suggest that "Dailey" and "HC" Lax had three children: a daughter Mary B. Lax and two sons Carroll Lax and Andrew M. Lax.

"Dailey" was preceded in death by her mother "Belle" Dora Belle Haneline Hampton who died in about 1919.

"Dailey" was survived by her husband "HC" Hubert Clarence Lax, children Mary B. Lax, Carroll Lax and Andrew M. Lax; father "Buck" William Noah Hampton, sisters "Maudie" Maude Ethel Hampton Midkiff McBride, Vera Belle Hampton Braden Brady Howard, and Viva Lucinda Hampton Fielder Sevener; brothers "Wes" William David Wesley Hampton, "Peck" "Press" Calvin Pressley Hampton, "Erby" Erbine Estel Hampton, Ezra Clifton Hampton, and "Ebb" Elbert Elehue Hampton.

It is believed that "Dailey" died between 1920 and 1923 as her youngest child Andrew was born in 1920 and her husband HC Lax married Snowdie Eastep by 1923.

Her final resting place, date and cause of death are currently unknown.
