Obituary: "FRANK S. GANT - Another well-known plant veteran, Frank S. Gant, 77. died at his
home in the Du Pont Apartment, Deepwater, early Tuesday morning. Mr. Gant, who had been
active and in good health, started to get out of bed when he was stricken with a heart attack and
died twenty minutes later. Retired April 1, 1941 from Jackson Lab after 22 years of Company
service, he is survived by his wife, Mary and eleven children, six of whom are currently employed
by the Company. Several of the others also worked here previously. The sons and daughter are:
Thomas, of Development Section; Albert, Engineering bricklayer; William R., Wage Section;
James, of Eng. Inspection Div.; Catherine, of Kinetic Office, and Joseph, now with Petroleum
Chemicals Div. in Wilmington, formerly of the Fire Section here. Another son, Paul, recently left
Jackson Lab for service with the Army at Fort Dix. The other sons are: Frank, of Hackensack, N.
J.; John, Bridgeton, N.J.; Leo, Cleveland, Ohio, and Charles, Richland, Washington."
