HEART ATTACK IS FATAL TO OTTO LEIFER

Plymouth Businessman Dies This Morning As Result Of Heart Attack; Funeral Services Sunday

Otto Leifer, 66, well-known resident of this city, who has conducted the Leifer Metal Sheet Works at 420 E. Mill street, for the past years, passed away suddenly at about 11 o'clock this morning while at work in the Mrs. A. H. Hall house on Reed street. Death was caused by a heart attack.

Mr. Leifer was born July 9, 1873 in Milwaukee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Leifer. The family later moved to Batavia to reside. Mr. Leifer was married to Caroline Friedrich and for the past 41 years the family resided in this city.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Leland, of Manitowoc, Norbert of Westby, Wis., Lorenz of Madison and Miss Clara, at home; his mother, Mrs. G. A. Leifer of Batavia; five brothers, and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Wittkopp Funeral Home and at 2 o'clock from the St. John's Lutheran church. The Rev. Martin Schmidt will officiate and burial will be made in the Woodlawn cemetery.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home Saturday afternoon and evening and up to the time of the services on Sunday.

Otto Leifer Of Plymouth Passes Away Suddenly

Plymouth. --- (Special) --- Otto Leifer, 66, owner of the Leifer Sheet Metal Works, died unexpectedly this morning about 11 o'clock at the Lillie Hall house on Reed street.

Mr. Leifer was repairing the furnace in the basement when he was found by Mrs. Norman Muth, occupant of the house. He had been working alone and when physicians arrived he was dead. The cause of death was reported as heart failure.

Survivors are his widow, the following children, Clara of Plymouth, Norbert of Westby, Leland of Manitowoc and Lawrence of Madison, his mother, Mrs. G. A. Leifer, also three grandchildren, besides several brothers and sisters whose names will be printed tomorrow.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Wittkopp Funeral home, and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church, the Rev. Martin Schmidt officiating.
