AUBY LUCENE YOUNG BAILEY
Auby Lucene Young was born in Joaquin, Texas to Henry Caleb Young and Ora Bell Spurlock.
Auby's family moved to Webster Parish, Louisiana when she was very young. That is where she met and married James Austin Bailey, June 4, 1930.
Auby had two children, Bonnie James Bailey and David H. Bailey.
Bonnie James married Loretta Young and they had two daughters, Adrena Ann Bailey and Ronda Sue Bailey. Bonnie James was killed in 1956.
From David's first marriage he has two children, Carole Joanne Bailey and Robert Alan Bailey. He also, has a granddaughter, Chelsea E. Gilbert Elgin.
In 1986 David met Virginia Wilson and they were married in 1987.
Auby was a nurse at the Minden Medical Center, she loved helping people and gave so much of herself.
Auby played the piano well and her family joined in for lots of fun times together. She taught her son David to play from the time he was five years old.

Funeral services for Auby L. Bailey, 57, was held at 4 p.m. July 10, 1969 in the Parkway Baptist Church with Rev. C.H. Land officiating. Burial was in The Minden City Cemetery under the direction of Green Kleinegger Funeral Home.
Auby died on a Thursday in Minden Medical Center after a long illness.
She was survived by her husband, James Austin Bailey of Minden; one son David Bailey of Minden; one brother, Coahron Young of Monroe; five sisters, Mrs. O.N. Frye of Springhill, Mrs. Thurston Childs of Minden, Mrs. Ione Lewis of Frankfort, Kentucky, Mrs. L.P. Pair of Homer and Mrs. C.W. Miller of Shongaloo and four grandchildren.
