Buried Here Tuesday
Mrs. Minnie Ethel Gage, 52, of Stillwater was laid to rest in Green Hill cemetery, Davis, Tuesday afternoon beside her husband, Rev. J.L. Gage and son Paul.
A brief service was held at the graveside by Rev. Kenneth Copeland, Methodist pastor at Stillwater, assisted by Rev. Fred A. Dunning, pastor at Davis. Mrs. Tom Howell sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," which she sang at Rev. Gage's funeral. A previous service was held in Stode funeral home at Stillwater.
Mrs. Gage passed away in Stillwater Sunday morning after two years' illness. Death was caused by cancer of the lungs. She had been in a hospital several months.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Jeffreys, Temple, Okla.; Mrs. Wayne Hartman, Perkins, Okla.; two sons, John and Ralph Gage, both of Stillwater; a brother at Chickasha, a sister at Amarillo and a sister at Gainesville.
Rev. Gage was Methodist pastor in Davis four years beginning in 1907. He passed away May 15, 1938. His son Paul, aged 2 1/2 years, died in April 1908.
