Mabel Dahl Swenhaugen, daughter of Iver and Mary Dahl, was born April 10, 1893 at Currie*, Minnesota. She passed away Sunday evening May 4, 1975 at the Schmidt Memorial Hospital at the age of 82 years.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
On November 18, 1913, she was united in marriage to Andrew Swenhaugen. To this union nine children were born.
They engaged in farming in the Dovray community for several years prior to moving to Westbrook. The past two years she spent with her children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four sisters, four brothers, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Mrs. Alice Clarke, Alexandria, Minn., Mrs. John Koppi (Gladys) Currie, Mrs. James Wenner (Delores) Eau Claire, Wisc., Mrs. Aron Amundson (Darlene) Avoca, Otis, Perryton, Texas, Mrs. Archie Anderson (Mildred), Mrs. Ben Ennega (LaVonne), Arnold and Manley, all of Westbrook, 34 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 sister-in-laws, Mrs. Emma Dahl and Mrs. Clara Sorbel of Tracy and Mrs. Anna Dahl, Currie and a number of nieces and nephews.
