Dick Verwolf, 86, died Friday at the Manhattan Retirement Home.
He was born in Harrison, South Dakota to John and Dirkje Van Es Verwolf, and moved with his family to Amsterdam when he was four years old.
He later lived in Idaho and Wyoming, where he had sheep ranches, moving back to the Bozeman and Manhattan areas in the 1940s.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. John (Julia) VanderArk of Grand Rapids, Michigan; a brother, William Verwolf of Lynden, Washington; a step-brother, Meinte (Mike) Schuurmans of Lansing, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Verwolf of Manhattan and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel in Bozeman. Burial was in Hills Cemetery at Manhattan.
