He was born on April 21, 1950 to Little Vester and Lydia Fitch Smartt who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Smartt; sister, Mae (Chester) Fitch; brother, Theodore (Daisy) Smartt; nephews, Cody and Tim Young; niece, Melissa Wright.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. CDT Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minster Joe D. Gray officiating.
Burial to follow in Altamont Cemetery.
Visitation after 4 p.m. CDT today at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN.
