B. Frank Lippencott, a retired farmer, died at his home on North Sherman avenus, Monday evening, August 3. He was aged 76 years. His death was due to cancer of the (illegible) from which he had suffered for more than a year. Mr. Lippencott was a son of William and Rachel Smith Lippencott and was born in Franklin township, November 16, 1854. He was educated in the township schools and at Waynesburg College. In 1878 he was united in marriage with Miss Sadie A. Clayton and a year later they removed to Morgan township where Mr. Lippencott engaged in farming and stock raising successfully. He also dealt in coal lands extensively for several years. He served two terms as school director and also two terms as road supervisor. In 1927 Mr. and Mrs. Lippencott removed to Waynesburg where they had since resided. He was an active member of the Winnett Chapel M. E. church. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Mrs. William (Lucy E.) Fulton, of Morgan township, and two grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. James (Anna) Bell, of Waynesburg R. D. 1, and a brother, Irwin Lippencott, of Waynesburg.
