RUTH DICKINSON
---Mrs. Ruth Dickinson of 629 East Boston Street of Brookfield, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed Buck, Rt. 1, Kirksville, Tuesday morning, May 18th.
---Mrs. Dickinson had came to her sisters home on Saturday to spend a few days and died in her sleep after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.
---Ruth Verdell Dickinson, daughter of Samuel K. and Augusta (Curtis) Shumaker, was born in Adair County, Missouri, in the same house where she died, on October 22, 1894.
---On August 17, 1913, she was married to James T. Dickson who preceded her in death in April, 1944.
---Surviving are the sister, Mrs. Ed Buck; two brothers, Samuel David "John" Shumaker of Novinger and James W. Shumaker of Anchorage, Alaska; also three nephews and three nieces.
---Mrs. Dickinson had spent most of her married life in Brookfield where she and her husband had owned and operated a grocery store.
---Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield under the direction of the Hill Funeral Home.
