Houston – James Curtis Gann, 73, died Monday, April 16, 2001 of heart failure at his home in Houston. Services were held Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Houston Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Childs and Rev. Wayne Thorn officiating. Burial followed in Chickasaw Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Gann was the son of the late Nelson Frank and Trannie Lou Criddle Gann. He was a retired general laborer at Houston Ready Mix. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Lona Bell Gann, who passed away January 10, 2000 and was preceded in death by a brother William Owens "Will" Gann.

Survivors include a sister, Nollie Ruth Gann one daughter, Debbie Allen and husband, Ricky, of Houston; two grandchildren, Blakely Allen and Gregg Allen of Houston.
