Oscar was the son of Lauritz Larsen Ask and Anna Clara Hanson.

He had nine siblings: Cora Myrtle, Carl Olaf Leonard, Arnold Ludvik, Arthur Mansfield, Hazel Louise, Hazel Louise, Evelyn Aletta, Myrtle Caroline, and Francis Orville.

Oscar married Cora Bertha Hanson on October 4, 1930.

They were the parents of three children: Kenneth Vernon, Lorraine Doris, and Stanley Lowell.

Oscar married Gunhild Marie Mosby on May 16, 1977.

Oscar Ask, 93, of Clearbrook died on Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook.
Oscar was born November 24, 1897, in Winsor Township, Clearwater County, Minnesota to parents Lauritz and Anna Ask. He attended rural schools and farmed in Winsor Township. On October 4, 1930 he married Cora Hanson at Gonvick. They moved to Clearbrook in 1970 and to Bagley in 1976. Mrs. Ask passed away on March 15, 1973. Since April of 1988, Oscar has resided at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook.
Mr. Ask was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Berner, former member of the Winsor Town Board, and has served on the school board and church board.
Oscar is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Madison of Hopkins; two sons, Stanley of Gonvick and Kenneth of Richfield; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. George (Hazel) Allen of Clearbrook, Evelyn Nelson of Port Townsend, Washington, Myrtle Segriti of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and one brother Francis of Glenwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services were held on Monday, December 3, at 2 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church rural Gonvick with Pastor Gary Forsberg officiating. Burial was in the United Lutheran Cemetery.
