Born April 20, 1878 in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, he was a son of the late Fred and Alma Corb Laack. He married Alma Olm in 1903. She died in 1963. Mr. Laack was a cheesemaker in Calumet, Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties. He had operated a cheese factory at Potter for 21 years, retiring 27 years ago. Mr. Laack held offices in state and local cheese making association. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Potter.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Trina, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Woodrow Cavanaugh, and Mrs. Edgar Dotter, both of Manitowoc; three sons, Edmund of Shawano, Harry of DePere and Ruben of R. 1, Brillion; 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. One son and two sisters preceded him in death.
