Carl H. Jaschob Sr. Dies Following Heart Attack
Carl H. Jaschob Sr., 76, retired furniture plant worker, died at his home early Monday morning, of a heart attack.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating and burial was in the Kiel cemetery.
Jaschob was born in Pommerania, Germany, February 4, 1879, the son of the late Carl and Wilhelmina Jaschob. He came to America with his parents in 1888, directly to Kiel. August 14, 1904, he married Anna Jaschob. She passed away in 1947.
For 13 years he was employed by the Kiel Wooden Ware company and for 38 years by the Laun Furniture company. He retired eight years ago.
Surviving are six sons, Harvey, Hubert, Calvin, Clarence and Carl jr. of Kiel, and Harold of New Holstein; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Forbes of Kiel; three brothers, Frank and Otto of Kiel, and Herman of Marshfield, and 15 grandchildren. A daughter and two sons also preceded him in death. - June 16, 1955
