Mrs. Nelda P. Manz, 81, of 316 St. Paul St., Kiel, died Friday afternoon at
Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc, after a lengthy illness.
The former Nelda Rehm was born Sept. 12, 1905, in the Town of New Holstein
the daughter of the late John and Katherine Trost Rehm. She attended school
in the Town of New Holstein. On Nov. 24, 1925 she was married to Benjamin
Manz at Kiel. He died Oct. 17, 1964. Mrs. Manz was a member of St. Peter
United Church of Christ of Kiel, its Ladies Aid, Kiel Senior Citizens, Senior
Social Club, Sunshine Club and GUG Germania Society.
Survivors include two sons (private); a daughter (private); 12 grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; a brother Gilbert Rehm of Kiel; and five sisters,
Mrs. Elsie Warnke, Mrs. Clara Kasten and Mrs. Marielle Feile of Kiel, Mrs.
Ann Quade of Malone and Mrs. Rola Ludwig of New Holstein. Mrs. Manz was
preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Funeral services will be held Monday at St. Peter United Church of Christ,
the Rev. John Baumann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
