CLARA K. KASTEN

Clara K. Kasten, 95, formerly of Kiel, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb 26, 2002 at the Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, New Holstein, where she resided the past 13 years.

She was born Oct. 11, 1906 in New Holstein, daughter of the late John and Katherine Trost Rehm. Clara attended Meade Country School. On March 24, 1931, she married Harvey Kasten in New Holstein. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1971. Clara lived in Maywood, Ill., until 1975, when she moved back to Kiel.

Survivors include three sisters, Rola (Gilbert) Ludwig of New Holstein, Marielle Feile of Kiel and Anna Quade of Madison; one sister-in-law, Frieda Stolzman of Sheboygan; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nelda Manz and Elsie Warnke and one brother, Gilbert Rehm.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2002 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial will be in Schleswig Cemetery, town of Schleswig.
