Mrs. Emil O. Schultz passed away at her home in this city on Thursday, March 30th, after a lingering illness of some months.

Barbara Alvina Koeppen was born Sept. 25, 1868, in the town of Meeme. She spent her young life at home until she reached the age of 18 years, when she was united in marriage October 7, 1886, to Emil O. Schultz of the town of Schleswig, where the couple lived one year.

After residing three years in the town of Meeme and three years in Sheboygan, they moved to Kiel, where the family has since resided. The union was blessed with 14 children, of whom two passed away in babyhood.

Besides her husband, she is survived by 12 children, as follows: Mrs. Wm. Stalter of Sheboygan, Mrs. Albert L. Wagner of Jericho, Ferdinand H. Schultz of Rockville,
Mrs. Otto Strade of Louis Corners, Frieda, Emil, Louise, Clara, Thekla, Oscar, Mathilda and Richard at home. Also her step-mother, four brothers, Fred, Henry, William, and Chr. Koeppen, and one sister. Mrs. August Haarmann of Louise Corners, and ten grandchildren.
The funeral took place on Monday afternoon form the home, Rev. W. Rech officiating. Interment was in Kiel cemetery.
