Mathilda E. (Tillie) Horst, 81, formerly of Millhome died January 20, at Calumet Homestead, New Holstein where she had lived the last three months.
The former Mathilda Schultz was born January 16, 1907, in Kiel, the daughter of the late Emil and Alwina Koeppen Schultz. She attended Kiel schools. On ?? 21, 1927 she married Reinhold Horst, in Waukegan, Illinois. The couple lived in Sheboygan before moving to Kiel. Mr. Horst died February 15, 1984.
She was a member to Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, its Ladies Aid Society and the Kiel Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Audrey) Chandler, Oshkosh, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Monica Horst, Millhome; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one brother, Oscar Schultz, Greenbush. Mrs. Horst was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services were held at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, the Rev. Richard Warnke, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel officiated. Burial was in the Kiel Cemetery.
