Mrs. John Sumner, of Galesburg, died Monday morning from the result of a fall which she received August 20. Mrs. Sumner had been a resident of this county for nearly sixty years. Prior to her residence at Galesburg she lived at Richland. She was one of the early settlers in this part of the country and was highly esteemed. She was the mother of Hon. D. H. Sumner of Wakesha, Wis.; Col. J. D. Sumner of Washington, D. C.; William, of Chassell, Mich.; Charles, of Kalamazoo; Mrs. Chas. B. Ford of Kalamazoo and Mrs. S. A. Loveland of Galesburg.
