Mrs. Emma Ford GALESBURG—Mrs. Emma Sumner Ford. 79, died at 5 p. m. Tuesday in her home here after an illness of several months. She had been in poor health for about a year. Mrs. Ford was born June 19, 1856. in Richland township. Kalamazoo county and had lived all her life in the county. In 1880 she was married to Charles B. Ford. They lived in Kalamazoo until 1910 and came here at that time. Mr. Ford died in 1925. At the time of his death he was justice of the peace. and on his death. Mrs. Ford took over the office. When she retired several years ago she was the oldest justice of the peace in Michigan. She had been active until the last few months and was a member of the Congregational church and the Order of Eastern Star. Surviving is a son, Frank, who is a Kalamazoo attorney. Funeral services will be 1 at 4 p. m. Thursday from the Wagar and Clark funeral home with , the Rev. Donald DeCoursey, pastor of the Galesburg Congregational church, in charge.
